it's alright.

I would like to take the time to thank the incredible women that I had the chance to meet throughout my life, and who have impacted my life more than they know.

Life does not go as planned. As idealistic as I am, life has repeatedly proved that it just simply does not go as expected. It absolutely crushes me when I see dishonesty, infidelity, unfairness and despair of the world, even if it has nothing to do with me.  Unfortunately, the world is filled with them. They say get used to it, I have never been able to. I sometimes just want to go with the flow and give in. And I have, to some extent.
But then, there are people fighting to make a change despite everything. There are incredible, tough, strong-willed women aspiring to fight the status quo
Sadly, I haven't seen a lot of these female figures in Japan.

I want to thank Gaby for being the role model. The stoic-ness, inner beauty and strength you have shown me encourages me to keep believing in what I do. I want to thank Risa-san, even though we haven't talked much, for enabling me to accept myself for the loud, happy, energetic person that I am. And Sakae for telling me it's ok to be shy, disorganized,

When the mounting pressure is ready to crush me and break me into pieces, me reminding myself of these women has reassured what I believe in. I felt like I have the right to believe what I believe in. I am not weird, I am not strange, I am okay.

As important as it is to pursue your goal, it's as important to accept yourself. It's ok to be a little negative, it's ok to not be organized, it's okay to be innocent, it's okay to be a little bit childish, it's okay to get jealous, it's okay to say what you want to say, it's okay to not be able to be opinionated. it's all okay.

it's okay to hold onto your beliefs.
it's okay to do what you want to do.
it's okay to try to be like Risa san and Gaby.
it's okay to be negative and sad and always thinking and disorganized.
it's okay to want to be pretty like Japanese girls.

I believe Suntory is an environment where this kind of thinking and value is accepted.
